Without Chelsea's initiative, Janet would not have had the nerve to speak to Rhonda Mills, the editor of Canvas, a photography magazine, Rhonda who is Janet's idol. Out of that conversation, Rhonda gives Janet her email address. When Chelsea tells Gerald about their encounter with Rhonda, Chelsea encourages Gerald to contact Rhonda as well to further his career, something which he plans to do. Janet, however, doesn't want to share Rhonda's email address with Gerald fearing that in doing so, it will threaten her own future plays with Rhonda. A series of actions that Janet takes on the matter has unintended consequences for her and for Gerald. Meanwhile, Appa and Umma are finding that they are sniping at each other. Umma's problem with Appa is his lack of communication, the latest specific item being she claiming that he didn't tell her about an upcoming dinner engagement he accepted on their behalf with the Mehtas.
